Carl Jung's famous Red Book, a 600 page large format journal chronicling his more adventurous explorations of the psyche, is now on display at the Rubin Museum of Art in Chelsea: “The Red Book of C. G. Jung: Creation of a New Cosmology.” The New York Times has a nice article on their web site and an 8 image sample of some the images. They are very interesting to me as a long-time journal keeper and explorer of my own inner imagination. I think you'll find it interesting as well. Click on this link to get the article. This book fascinates me... it feels really close to the creative bone in all of us somehow... I actually worked with the man who edited it - as part of the exchange for my Sandplay training with Sonu's partner I transcribed a journal of one of Jung's early analysands for one of his earlier books. It was really intriguing work - challenging in a really good way.
I spoke to them recently and it looks like they'll be here in America (they're based in London) early next year - with engagements in Seattle and LA speaking about the book. I asked if they'd be interested in coming to northern California if I could set them up with a speaking gig here but I haven't heard back from them yet. I've ordered the book in the meantime. :-)

A big amen to Amy's fascination with this artifact. I would love to see it and hear more about it! If anyone hears that the publishers/organizers are planning to get anywhere near Southern Oregon with it, please put me on your list: thevmcoach@gmail.com.
